An X-ray (or Röntgen ray) is a form of electromagnetic radiation with a wavelength in the range of 10 to 0. 01 nanometers, corresponding to frequencies in the range 30 PHz to 30 EHz. X-rays are primarily used for diagnostic radiography and crystallography. X-rays are a form of ionizing radiation and as such can be dangerous. In many languages it is called Röntgen radiation after one of the first investigators of the X-rays, Wilhelm Conrad Röntgen.
Industry:Medical devices
Device that provides all the necessary voltages and signals to drive the X-ray tube.
Industry:Medical devices
One of the mechanical assemblies of a positioning unit arm.
Industry:Medical devices
Special window layout to provide an optimal environment for performing a selected procedure.
Industry:Medical devices
A computer terminal on the VARiS network with one or more VARiS applications installed. The system administrator assigns a unique identification (ID) number to each VARiS workstation. See console workstations.
Industry:Medical devices
Cube shaped tank filled with water used to measure the basic dose distribution. Water closely approximates the radiation absorption and scattering propertie of muscle and other soft tissue.
Industry:Medical devices
The distance between two successive crests of a wave. For electromagnetic radiation, the wavelength is equal to the velocity of light (c) divided by the frequency of the wave.
Industry:Medical devices
An alert in the Service application: a problem in the HET exists. Related to fault.
